In the UK ~13 million women are going through the menopause1

The menopause can have considerable impact on many aspects of women's lives2-4

80% of menopausal women experience menopausal signs and symptoms3

20% of women experience severe menopausal symptoms.3

For these women, menopause can be a burden that introduces new challenges into their lives.

The Fawcett Study, a menopause survey conducted in the UK in 2022 of women aged 45–55 years (N=4,014), found that menopause can impact many aspects of a woman’s life.5

of women find at least one menopause symptom very difficult.5

of women experience three or more severe symptoms.5

Women are most likely to say they find the following symptoms the most difficult:5

  • Sleeping 84% (n=3,371)
  • Brain fog 73% (n=2,930)
  • Anxiety or depression 69% (n=2,769)

Moderate-to-severe menopausal symptoms can have a negative impact on a woman’s well-being and health expectancy.3 

According to a 2021 House of Commons Women and Equalities Committee survey with 2,161 respondents: 

“Many feel there is limited support available in the workplace”6
